Hayley Williams performed a cover of Massive Attack’s “Teardrop,” from their 1998 album Mezzanine, as part of the Ally Coalition’s Annual Talent Show. Williams performed the song in what appears to be a bedroom, in a bathrobe, with her hair wrapped in a towel. Check it out below and at Twitch.
The event was livestreamed for free from Jack Antonoff’s Twitch account to raise money for homeless LGBTQ youth. Sleater-Kinney, Brittany Howard, Lana Del Rey, Clairo, and others joined the stream, which mostly featured covers of other artists’ work as well as one-minute bits from comedians such as Reggie Watts, Aidy Bryant, and Mike Birbiglia.
